Back Pain Keeping You Out of the Boat?

Would you like to be out there enjoying the Alaskan summers without back and neck pain slowing you down? Did you know that back pain is the #1 medical complaint in North America, affecting 80% of us at one time or another? Often causing permanent loss of some function, which may force you to give up things in your life you love, like hunting, fishing, being a 100% employer/employee, and the kind of active spouse or parent you want to be; all a part of a quality life style. Until now, if you suffered from back and neck pain the only methods of treatment have been: bed rest, muscle relaxants, pain medications, manipulations and if all else failed, surgery.

Now you do have a better option: IDD (Internal Disc Decompression) Therapy, also known as DRS therapy is available in the Family Medical Center in Soldotna offered by Drs. Vern Davidhizar and Pedro Perez. This treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical and typically requires little or no long term pain medication, allowing you to be a functioning member of your family and the community again. This treatment is not only safe and painless, but also comfortable and relaxing. The procedure is performed with a patented intervertebral decompression device with up to 86% success rate and thousands of patients around the country have experienced dramatic pain relief and healing with no further threat of surgery.

The following are just a couple of the testimonials of our patients who just like you thought they’d never be pain free and fully active again:

“ Eight years ago, I had back surgery for four herniated discs. After several years the pain slowly returned to nearly the same pain level prior to surgery. A friend told me about the Family Medical Clinic’s D.R.S. back treatment machine and I started immediately. After only six or seven sessions my pain decreased dramatically and by the end of the treatments the pain was gone. Everyone loves to share good news and I tell people several times a week how amazing this is. Try It!!”

Paul Miller, Owner of Soldotna Trustworthy Hardware

“ I am a retired school teacher and fishing guide. I grew up on a farm and did a lot of manual labor and heavy lifting when I was young. This resulted in 4 crushed disks in my lower back. For years, I was plagued with lower back pain and numbness in my legs. I went through years of back manipulation, hot and cold compresses, and pain reliever medication without much success. Since going through the DRS treatment program in 2002 and doing the maintenance stretching exercises, I have been pain free.”

Larry R. Wheat

“ I am a steward for the Alaska Marine Highway (ferry system) and somehow hurt my back making it painful to walk, sit or even lie down. I am currently undergoing treatment on the D.R.S. unit at the Family Medical Clinic and although I have not completed the full series of treatments most days I feel I am 75%-95% improved. I recommend this therapy to anyone suffering with lower back pain.
